Description

referring to ​http://doc.rasdaman.org/02_inst-guide.html#getting-started:
After the installation variants are done users are left alone. There should be

  • a test for the users to check whether their installation is working
  • a link to the next step to be done.

my bad - due to the missing section numbers I did not see that the story continues.

Recommend to add a paragraph like 

Next, rasdaman can be downloaded and installed from the repository.

The next section starts with

2.2.1. Official Packages

This page describes installation of rasdaman RPM or Debian packages.

Is it really necessary to repeat the same thing right before? Or maybe I'm looking at a different location.

I'm still not sure what and where exactly needs to be done. I'd suggest that you directly update, the source code is in browser:doc/main/02_inst-guide.rst

I think this ticket has been meanwhile fixed, the installation introduction already lists the 4 alternatives for download & install with links to each.
